Welcome to Twisters Gun Shop

We are located in Calgary, Alberta...along the Bow River Valley, nestled into the foothills of the Majestic Rocky Mountains of western Canada. The Twisters Team are avid Hunter's and Sport & Competitive Shooters with a combined experience of 40 plus years in both Gunsmithing and Engraving.

Twisters Gun Shop is independantly owned and operated, unaffiliated with any other shop, sporting goods retailer or manufacturer. This is important to you, because we set our prices and rates and don't have some uncaring, over-priced, chain store dictating pricing! Our rates are some of the most reasonable anywhere and our quality of workmanship unsurpassed. We aren't Calgary's only shop..we aren't the largest shop..we're just the best!

Our main focus is on repair and restoration of all makes and models of firearms, long gun and handgun, from circa 1900 to present day modern firearms, as well as the nearly lost art of firearms engraving and stock making. You can see the beautiful examples of Twisters work on the following pages of the site. We do not use machines to create our works of art!

Twister is a traditionalist...engraving, stock carving, scrolling...all by hand, the way it was done a century ago.You won't find lazers or stock duplicating machines in our shop. What you will find is a huge collection of hand tools, designed to build firearms the "old way"...because somethings should never change. All our engravings, stocks, scrolls, etc., are hand created by Twister himself. No piece is ever sent out or created by some mindless machine with computer programming. All work is a hand made, custom, work of art.

Twister, the shop owner, is a Master Gunsmith & Master Engraver not for having some guild you've never heard of saying he is...and not becuase he has fancy certificates proclaiming he has mastered these crafts. More importanly, it's our Clients who proclaim him a Master, and that's what's important to him...and us.
